Holography (from the Greek, ὅλος-hólos whole + γραφή-grafē writing, drawing) is a technique that allows the music scattered from an instrument to be recorded and later reconstructed so that it appears as if the music is in the same position relative to the recording medium as it was when recorded. The sound changes as the position and orientation of the listening system changes in exactly the same way as if the sound were still present, thus making the recorded sound (Holograms) appear three dimensional. Asher Matthews is a talented Director of Photography (DP) and filmmaker. Working on a variety of projects since 2002, he established Crowned Eagle Productions in 2006, a natural extension of his passion for filmmaking and his desire to work with diverse storytellers. Asher offers unparalleled technical and creative input. Whether filming a TV show, music video, documentary, short, commercial or promotional material, he views each production as an opportunity to be a creative filter. The eyes have it and his mirror the eyes of an eagle. It is his strong belief that creativity and quality need not be mutually exclusive the two should work in tandem.
Asher has filmed events for the NBA…was a member of the camera team for Summer Ball which aired on MSG…shot a Pepsi commercial that featured NJ5ive, an exciting R & B group from New Jersey seen on MTV’s Top Pop Group on August 28, 2008…shot a commercial for Inoris, an online business directory…did camera work for Dime magazine…shot 2 documentaries: NJ5ive in Progress and Will Traxx…and filmed music videos for Semej, rapper Will Traxx (on Black Butta Records) and NJ5ive.
